Food Whispers: Loysel's Toy

One Saturday morning brought us to Loysel's Toy. It's located way alongside Kallang River so its just around the corner. I just wakeup, brush up, hop on and Im there.

Main Entrance

Occupying the ground level of what looks like an industrial building, this quaint little place serves a great serene, hidden hideout for the busy bustling world.

Side Entrance

Pretty little area in the backyard
We took the seats in the backyard for the sun, breeze and lovely weather. Their coffees are pretty extensive, being a subsi of Papa Palheta. We grabbed ice lattes, mocha, chocolate peanut butter cake and warm cranberry muffin from the counter and spent the rest of the day sitting there taking silly shots of the surroundings in panoramic view.

Spot that gorgeous Lemon Tart

Peanutbutter goodness

Anything with Cranberries!

Of our many panoramic shots

The heaviest downpour came upon and we seek refuge back in the building. Kilo's on level 2  (we're coming back to try that by the soonest! ), a rock climbing gym on levels 6&7 and a quirky ukelele shop on level-i can't recall.

Hello Kilo
Ukelele galore!

Sometimes I wish that weekends last forever, but its the hectic fulfilling weekdays that make my weekends as awesome as they are now. So many quaint cafes and yes so much time.

Food Whispers: Graze

Weekend at Rochester

I love brunches, especially with the people I love.

Homemade Honey
Champagne and Orange Juice
Dad doing his usual watch oogling

Brushcetta- fresh toasted ciabatta topped w crushed avocado + bacon + tomato + poached egg + evo + balsamic
This reminds me of the ham/bacon crisp baguette we had along the streets of Cambodia. Notice the focus was on the fries instead. Great photography.

Mummsy and me <3
Signature cast iron pan- mix of bacon, grilled tomatoes, bratwurst sausage, potatoes, fried hens egg and a toss of baked beans.
Guys in the fam

Must have! Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon topped with chives.

Old fashioned pancake stack - caramelized bananas w heaps of bacon amidst pancakes and
vanilla bean ice-cream on the side

Crazy stackof pancakes!

Mom's jasmine rose tea.

We arrived in the late morning and it was perfect timing as we were all starved. They serve Sunday brunch specials which consist of the mains and a side alcoholic drink- Mimosa in particular was my fave.

Orange juice and champagne, i hope you both remain best friends forever.

On a side note, the place is rather inaccessible. We almost resorted to valet parking as the streets were narrow and winding. Great place to sit down tgt with family and whisper sweet nothings. Except we all spent the entire day reading papers magazines and books. Dad and Mom loved the place kudos to its serenity. Awesome family time spent.
